Hello!

Everyone I know is anticipating the approaching months. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, winter has been bitter, and people are longing for the sunshine and warmth of spring! In the Southern Hemisphere, folks are looking forward to the lovely cooler weather and crisp autumn air.

My heart goes out to the residents of Queensland, AU as they struggle to rebuild following the typhoon, flooding and high winds. LIkewise, the world is watching with anxious eyes as the events in Christchurch, NZ unfold following the earthquake.

In January, I wrote to tell you of my teaching schedule in both New Zealand and Australia. Sadly, due to circumstances beyond  control, the Aussie leg of the trip has been cancelled.

However, there are many exciting events to report – and I hope some of you may be attending the next few quilt workshops!

TUNE IN THIS WEDNESDAY, March 2, 2011 – C&T Publishing will host a sneak preview in their Internet Lounge! This is a live, interactive event – you can participate, or see the recorded show afterwards. Click on the photo, below, to link to the C&T blog page and learn more about the nine authors who will be teaching at Empty Spools Seminars in the coming few weeks.

If you are new to online live discussion groups, you are not alone! I am just learning about it, too! Here is a link to last week's discussion, and you can listen to the participants discussing Quilt-o-Grams:  Wednesday Night Live (replay) . Cheryl Malkowski's demonstration was great! It will make you want to create your own Quilt-o-Gram!

Happy watching, and enjoy your quilt creating!  Jan
