Autumn 2007
My goodness! Time passes quickly!
I will never be accused of writing too many online newsletters!
The past year has flown by. In addition to traveling and teaching, I am also working on new designs! I am always thinking of new quilters – and those of us with too many committments and too little time – it seems we all have a need for easy, attractive quilts. One of my favorite places in the world is the Monterey - Pacific Grove - Carmel area on the central Pacific Coast, California. I am blessed to go to Asilomar Conference grounds to teach or take quilting classes – what a joy! Here are some photos from two trips to Asilomar, one in the spring and again in the fall. |

A wonderful place to relax, be inspired, walk on the beach and enjoy the coastal air. |
The last week of August I taught a Lone Star Design workshop in Pacific Grove, California for the Empty Spools Seminars. The students came from all over the USA plus two class members were visiting from Great Britain. What a great time we had, and the quilts are going to be stunning! If you would like to see the work after 4 days in class, please click on the link. September 2007I will be teaching once again in the Anchorage area -– for the Eagle River Chugach Mtn. Quilt Guild, and presenting 3 new workshops at Sylvia's Quilt Depot in Wasilla. The designs are hot off my sewing machine to you, but SHHHH - I can't tell you what they are! So, if you are willing to come play along, each day will be a different **MYSTERY** quilt design! (Students will see the project, it will not be broadcast to the public quite yet). October 2007From Alaska, I will travel to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. This will be my first time in the NWT – but as a child, my family lived in Saskachewan, Canada. We will have 4-6 days of workshops with the Yellowknife Quilters Guild. What fun!! The area looks like a fascinating place, with rich culture and history, including a large-scale Diamond Mining industry! |
