Rainbow Split Broken Star
This quilt is dazzling in any color combination! Consider:

- a dark star on a light background, or
- light diamonds on a dark background.
- hand dyed fabrics – create gradations and cut the design shapes to take advantage of the light-to-dark shading.

Color Selection Strategy:
- several images below do not feature borders – borders are optional
- select border fabric first – select fabrics according to the colors in the border fabric
- split diamonds – two shades or values for each diamond: two blue, green, red, etc.
- medium & dark diamond fabrics on a light background OR
- light & medium diamond fabrics on a dark background
- split diamonds featured on dyed or gradated backgrounds (typically requires more yardage to fussy cut the setting squares and triangles to take advantage of the fabric print)
